It’s supposedly a 6-8 year bourbon and basically makes it a barrel proof Buffalo Trace which is supposedly made from barrels around the same age. Review number one was a blast so I thought I’d slide right into review #2 this evening.

Proof: 128.1. Colonel E. H. Taylor, Jr. Barrel Proof Straight Bourbon Whiskey 67.7% ABV $75 Website. Colonel EH Taylor Jr Barrel Proof bourbon hails from Buffalo trace and is made from their low rye Mashbill #1 (<10% rye).

The Review: For this review we drank it neat in a Glencairn glass.

What the Distillery Says: Crafted from hand-selected barrels, this bourbon is bottled directly from the barrel; uncut and unfiltered at more than 125 proof. Buffalo Trace produce an entire collection of Colonel E. H. Taylor Jr whiskey, including Small Batch Barrel Proof, Rye, Old Fashioned Sour Mash and the recent headline making addition (it is one man’s opinion, ok, let’s leave it there) Four Grain.
